You will shortly find that you will get an upgrade notification when next logging into the e-mail system.

The reason for this we have just finished the promised upgrade to the CareFreeMail server.

This is a big release for us and contains the following fixes:

Please note that the Outlook Connector (Offline Edition) requires Service Pack 3 with Outlook 2003.

• Added support for e-mail, contact and calendar over-the-air synchronization with Apple iPhone 3G, 2.0 and iPod Touch.
  The support includes e-mail push
• Enhanced Apple iCal integration with MailServer (address and location autocomplete, delegation support, availability feature).
• New automatic configuration tool for Apple iCal client
• Added ability to automatically delete old e-mails from Junk E-mail and Deleted Items folders on the server.
• Support for new ActiveSync protocol used on Windows Mobile 6 devices (Exchange 2007 compatible). Includes support for reading HTML e-mails, fast message retrieval, enhanced e-mail search and out-of-office setting on mobile device.
• Added support for partial header FETCH in IMAP server.
• "Integration" web page with tools and downloads
• Improved compatibility with Apple iPhone IMAP client.
• Messages marked as deleted via IMAP are immediately removed from the mailbox.
• Fixed potential stability issue in antivirus process during downloading updates.
• Fixed mailbox lockout when user mail filter rules are corrupted.
• Meeting responses from ActiveSync were not correctly recognized in CalDAV.
• E-mail sent on behalf from Entourage was delivered also to original sender.
• Birthday and anniversary dates in contact could be shifted one day to the past in Entourage.

The CareFree mail service will not be available tomorrow Sat 11th October 2008 from 06:00 thru 09:00 whist we migrate to new hardware.

This will not affect delivery of your e-mail. All services will re-connect at the end of this process.

The e-mail servers are now running normally after the upgrade. As a result of this update we will be announcing support for the new iPhone 2.0 shortly

We are performing an upgrade to the e-mail servers this evening and will be unavailable tonight until 10pm

Just to let you all know that over the next few weeks/months we will be migrating all our mailboxes over to Exchange 2007. This will require you to make some changes to your e-mail setups. We will be contacting all our subscribers over the next few months to ensure that you understand how to migrate your e-mail.

Parts of e-mail systems are down at the moment and we are trying to restore them as soon as possible.
